Ryan Stephens’s Biography

Shaped by a career spanning government affairs and political consulting to national sales management and entrepreneurship, Ryan brings a unique and robust perspective to the IBA team. Throughout each chapter, his goal remains the same: exceeding client expectations.

A native Hoosier, Ryan began his career in Washington, D.C. He spent a decade there working in government affairs and political consulting. During this time, he managed a variety of Congressional and two Presidential campaigns, building a strong national network within the business community.

This experience sparked a desire to support businesses more directly, which led Ryan to national sales management roles in healthcare and technology. In these roles, he not only grew revenue but also expanded new business. Eventually, Ryan launched his consulting firm before bringing his expertise to Indiana Business Advisors.

In addition to his dedication to client success, Ryan is passionate about golf and supporting Veterans. As a Navy veteran, he is actively involved with several veteran-focused organizations and helps service members transition into business. He also supports initiatives for veterans’ mental well-being. After attending the Next18 golf camp for veterans, he now serves as a volunteer with the organization to further its mission.

Along with his dedication and service to his fellow veterans, he is also on the board of the Indianapolis Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter.

Ryan earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Indiana University. He and his wife, Lauren, live in Fishers with their family and dogs. They enjoy golfing, cheering on their favorite teams, traveling, and seeking out new adventures.
